Hittin that BapSquad Freeeee Throw

Awesomeeeeeeee. Whats up killas. Ya know the drill. Imma just straight drop right into the questions of the week from the one and only Mamma Brophy.

-My week has been pretty solid. Just getting to know my new sector and companion. Everything is chilllll.
-The weather is still sunny but it has definitely started to cool down which is AWESOME. I wear a sweater every night which is soooo much swag.
-I didnt get the granola bars or banana bread... I saw Hmo Ortega this sunday but I think he was suprised to see me at the church!
-My new house is with 2 other missionaries from a different ward. It is just on the other side of Melipilla. Pretty close to my old one!
-We have a ton of investigators in our new area. One of them just got baptized on Saturday.
-Things are going well with Elder Richards. He is a really funny kid! Its hard for him to speak in Spanish so I honestly do like 90% of the teaching but thats cool anyways!
-I AM in the same ward as before. They literally just changed me to the sector that was RIGHT next to my old one and a new pension and companion. Pretty funny!:)

So, at home it sounds like everyone is having a good time and the trip to Belgium and such was a success. I would have totally eaten a ton of waffles while I was there.... but maybe for another occasion. BUT, this week went by REALLY fast. It was weird going to another sector and not having it be white wash! So I kinda just followed Elder Richards around trying to figure out where the freak I was and stuff so I dont get lost. We were really busy this week and did alot which was awesome, but unfortunately I didnt write anything down for my big email! I promise I am gonna get better at that because I just sometimes forget the little, cool things that happen during the week!

BUT, I did want to just share something super sick with the straight slayers of the United States that I have been thinking about this week.
The word LOVE.
I have learned that love is the catalyst to everything that we do in the gospel. As a missionary, when I am walking through the streets, tired and hot, sometimes you think.... why am i doing this? I have come to know that we do all these things for love. Because 1. we love God. 2. We love our brothers and sisters who may be lost and looking for the shelter that the gospel provides us. May we be obedient to all that God commands us because we have love and understand love. I know that if we try to love a little bit more, To God and our neighbor, God will bless us with happiness.

BE SAFE SLAYERS. KEEP KILLIN IT AND SHARE THE GOSPEL:

Elder Brophy (The Boi..... aka Killa)

Weird Transfers........

Whats upppp everybodddy. I am just straighhhhhht chillin right now and I am gonna answer the Q´s from my mom real quick as usual. :)

-Your Elder is REALLY tired but REALLY good too. :)
-I got transferred... but in weird transfers. Hahaha so all that happened is that I got changed from one sector to a different one. I am still in the same ward, still in Melipilla, I just have a different sector and companion. His name is Elder Richards from Georgia USA.
-This last week we found some new awesome investigators in our sector... but now I am not going to be working with them very much sadly... but ya know!
-Last week I didnt win the soccer game which was pretty upsetting hahaha but its alright... next week for sure!
-We played with missionaries AND locals. It was pretty fun. :)
-It is only cold at night and in the morning... pretty lame because you have to wear or carry around a sweater during the day when it is hot then RAPIDLY drops in temperature.... awesome hahaha. :)

Yeahhhhh... so this last week was pretty weird and good. The last week of changes is always weird and VERY busy. Every single day there is something to do to finish up the change with your companion. So we didnt have a TON of time to go out and preach this week but when we did it was really fun. I just honestly LOVE talking to people in the street and going into houses to talk about the gospel. As a matter of fact, in this new sector that I just got to, there is an investigator that is getting married this Wednesday, then baptized Saturday so that will be awesome! But besides that... my companion told me that he doesnt know anything about his sector hahahaah.... so this will be interesting. Almost another white wash. :) Also, it was kinda sad to see a bunch of buddies leave to go home and leave the zone of Melipilla. Elder Cannon and McLaws and Elder Moffet left to go home and a BUNCH of other Elders left to go to another zone. But that happens and is always going to happen! But, for right now my focus is on the people here in Chile. Something that I have come to know about the mission is that whatever place that you go to, it is because the Lord wants you to be there. I know that I just got changed to this sector because it was convenient for the Lord to put me here. There IS somebody waiting for me to come teach and help save them. I know the Lord lives and he loves us. He is our Savior. And He is ALWAYS by our side. I promise that we are never alone. He is always searching for us and reaching out to us to come unto him. FIND him.

I love you all. You are all great examples to me. Please, pray for me and all the other missionaries in the world that they can help a soul come unto repentance.

With Love,

Elder Brophy

Holy Flemmish McSkyper

Wasssssup Peeps from the United States andddd thee family that is in Belgium..... You know it killas. I am going to straight start with the questions. :)

-I was pretty fine after we skyped to be honest! Everything was sick and such.
-I dont feel very homesick to be honest... feeling pretty solid as of now. :) How are you guys?
-After skype I talked with a couple other missionaries in the chapel because the sister´s couldnt skype alone in the chapel soooo yeah.
-Elder Parker is from Las Vegas.
-He is almost dead... he has 20 months in the mission but he watched me get ¨born¨ in Talagante.
-We are TRYING to do crossfit workouts type thingies.... its complicated. But we are going to run alot... :)
-I am good on garments right now and yes we can get garments here. :)
-The church is like 15ish minutes from the house walking.

YEAH. Okay....... so this week was AWESOME. I had the opportunity to talk to my family for Mother´s Day which was honestly AWESOME. My mom tells me that I wear my feelings on my sleeve..... so yeah thats cool hahahaha. :) I LOVE talking with my family and seeing them and everything, it was super fun and I am VERY grateful for such an amazing family. :)

I am, going to keep this email nice and short but I just wanted to share something cool that happened this week... well, two things.

1. Talagante and Melipilla turned into a stake this Sunday! It was an awesome event, I got to see all the people all happy because they can see the growing of the church. There were 2 Seventies present and everyone was just sooo happy! SO SICK.

2. We got to go to the temple again as a district because President wants all the missionaries to be able to go to the temple... so we did!:) I just LOVE going to the temple and feeling the spirit. Going to the temple should be a goal for everyone. :) Its awesome!:)

Welll, I freaking love you guys so much. Be safe and home and be firm in the gospel of Jesus
Christ. He knows us and loves us so much.

Holy Flemmish the Day of the Mothers

Helllllllo Crew. Before I just go HAM in the PAINT.... we about to answer the bestttt questions from the sickest mom on the planet.

-YES MOM, I know that your day is coming up VERY SOON! I am STOKED:)))
-This week we did a lot of cool things... i will tell you after the questions.
-No it wasnt someone who I taught, but I have known this convert since I arrived here in Melipilla!
-I am eating very well, Elder Parker and I have started to work out a LOT and we have goals that we are just going to get SHREDDED. So this week we bought only healthy food to go along with our workouts.... we are about to get super toned killas.
-My feet feel fine.... the bottom of my right foot is pretty much one HUGE callace? Idk if I spelled that right. hahah
-The skype thing.... I would honestly prefer doing it this Sunday with you guys... but if you really prefer doing it a different week I can ask for permission.

Okayyyyy! So this week was SUPER sick. To be honest, a week of feeling the spirit ALOT. I loved it. This week I had the opportunity to go to the temple with my convert, Jesus. He went to the temple to do baptisms for the dead. It was INCREDIBLE. I also got to do other things that were absolutely incredible that I will tell yall later! BUT, a quick experience that I had in the temple. As we were sitting waiting for all the converts to come into the baptismal font, I decided to read in the book of mormon. As doing so, I felt the greatest peace and happiness come over my body. I honestly couldnt and cant deny that that was the spirit. there is no other place on this earth that you can experience so much happiness and joy than in the temple of God. I testify that to all of you. Something else cool that happened is that I bought the sickessssst stuff this week. I got to buy a tie clip of La U and a jersey of La U. ALSO a CTR ring but with the flag of Chile.... ALSO, I bought a SICK new tie and cardigan..... sooooooo super swag. I honestly LOVE all of you so much. PLEASE be safe at home and know that I am single. #Swaggggg

Do it for the Vine

Heyyyyy peeps. Soooo this week has been pretty sick not gonna lie! But before that my mom came up CLUTCH with the questions.

-My area has been the same since the volcano erupted.... havent noticed much of a difference actually hahaha
-Bruno is good. We havent been able to visit him this week :(
-I am feeling good about my spanish now... pretty fun. :)
-I am STOKED for Mothers Day. It is going to be SUPER sick.
-Miraclessss this week....... YES. Actually kinda a cool story.
So we were walking around ALL day and all of our appointments fell through. everyone just had to decide to leave..... but sick. So we decided to start knocking on doors to finish out the day. At like 7:30 we decide to talk to a couple people that had just gotten out of their car (probably from work or something) and they just immediately told us to come inside! So we went inside and they are a family of 3 and they are freaking married which is awesome! We talked alot about the church and how everything works and what we share with everyone! We are going to pass by for them again this week to see how they are progressing. Pretty cool experience!:)
-I am nottttt using my sleeping bag yet because it is hotter than Satans armpit. But hopefully soon i will have to. :)

So this week was pretty cool like I said. :) We saw a lot of mini miracles and people that are awesome. A couple cool things that have happened this week are:

-We had a BBQ at the house of a lady that got baptized on Saturday. She got baptized Saturday and so to celebrate she invited all 10 missionaries to her house for a BBQ. It was soooooo good and kinda fun to eat with everybody and talk about the gospel.

-Another thing that is cool is thanks to my brudda Elder McLaws I have a TON of hymns on my USB drive. They are hymns but like.... super cool hahaha its hard to explain but I will show them to the fam when I get home in like 3 years. :)

But YEAH! Before I go, i just want to share a couple words that I know are true! I know that Jesus Christ lives. He is our Savior and Redeemer. There is NO other way to make it back to our Heavenly Father  besides through Jesus Christ. Something that I have learned in the mission, is when you dont have the spirit or cant feel it... just start testifying of Christ and the spirit will return real quick.

Love you all!

Swag

Families are Eternal Killa

Wasssssssup slayas! Today I have some AWESOME questions to answer from my amazing mom.

-This last week has been really good. Really busy but really cool and fun! We had a bunch of mini-miracles this week that were really cool to see!
-I went to Pomeire with Elder McLaws, Cannon, and Arriagada, not Niquet.
-We are going to use Skype. It wouldnt hurt to send the information again just in case.
-Do I have daily habits that bring me closer to the savior. Yes, hahahah lots. Pray every morning, and night, and a LOT in between the two. Another one that has helped me a TON, is reading the Book of Mormon, Preach my Gospel, and Our Heritage daily. I learn sooooo much every day and it strenghtens my testimony!:)
-The branch in Calera de Tango has been in the process of being made for the last 8 months, and now it is finally formed and everything is sick over there!
-We have found a lot of new investigators this week, and i am going to share an experience about one of them at the end of this email.
-At church here in Melipilla, I dont have to do anything because this branch is SO freaking awesome. So I can just listen!
-This saturday we are going to a widows home (who has 5 kids) and we are going to ask permission to clean out all of her backyard! Thought that would be something awesome to do!:)

Okay! So this week was pretty chill, a lot the same! (which is freaking awesome dont get me wrong). Something cool that we did this week was we all went to Talagante (the missionaries of Talagante and Melipilla) and contacted people in the town square during a little Expo that the church put on. While I was there we contacted a TON of amazing people. I also came in contact with a man that got baptized in Calera de Tango while I was there and he is getting married to a lady this Friday! Then they are getting sealed in 1 year from now so I am for sure going to that when it happens! SO COOL. Another little cool act of service that me and my buddy Elder Parker (lives with us) did is we woke up an hour earlier than usual and made a HUGE american type breakfast for our companions (from Peru and Mexico). We made them Pancakes, bacon, eggs, with syrup butter and all the fixings! We all enjoyed eating some good american food this last week for a morning!

Spiritual moment!
Okay so something that happened this week was SO SICK! So, I was on divisions with another Elder (Elder Richards) and we were contacting in our sector to find someone new that could get baptized (#BapSquad). And so we knock on this door across the street from some active members and an 18 year old lets us in. We are talking to him and getting to know him and he tells us that his mom passed away 3 months ago and he is taking care of his paralyzed father and cousins alone. It was so humbling to hear and see all this. So, we start to teach him about the Plan of Happiness... the spirit was SO strong. It was almost tangible. And during the middle of the lesson this young man stops us and asks, ¨Its possible? An eternal family? I can see my mom again?¨ Talk about the spirit standing up and punching me right in the face. It was one of the coolest lessons I have ever had in my mission. So pray for Bruno (thats the kids name).

I loveeeeeeee you all. Be safe everyone and stay SWAGGY!

Building Zion Slayers

Alright look killas. You know that I have almost 9 months in the mission when I dont have questions to answer this week... the fam is starting to forget hahahah just kiddin calm down mom. But seriously there arent any questions.
SO, I am going to hop right in to it. FIRST, this week has been pretty freaking awesome! We pretty much just went ham in the paint killas. this week me and my companion Elder Niquet have been working really hard. And we have seen a TON of miracles this week. For example, Saturday we didnt have a lesson planned so we decided to go to this ghetto part of our sector to contact. We contacted this house and a man invites us into his house without hesitation. We find out that about 3 years ago there had been missionaries in their house teaching them. They ALMOST got baptized, but they never did because they werent (arent) married. But as we found them Saturday, we put a baptismal date with them for May. Their son also is listening to us! Its amazing. They came with us to church on Sunday and loved it. SO awesome. So that was one of the many miracles we saw this week.
Another miracle that happened this week was we had a meeting as a Stake, where all the leaders of the wards got together  and guess who I saw? One of the converts from Calera de Tango! He had a calling to be a leader in the Calera de Tango Branch. Yes, you heard that too, Calera de Tango is a BRANCH now! SO cool. So that was some cool news and miracles!
Well, just wanted to express my love for each and every one of you and bear my testimony that Christ lives and he is my savior. He loves us and will NEVER leave us behind. Always find his love, and together we can overcome challenges.

Pday today was SICK wrecking in soccer
