Happy Fathers Day!

The Qs peeps. :)

-This week has been very good but very frustrating! hhahah its awesome!:)
-I sent a couple letters with Bro. Ortega and my SD cards for you guys to look at the pictures and videos i have taken!
-The cooler weather is VERY nice. And its not humid.... very dry here!
-I dont think I will be with Elder Richards after this week! :( Cuz he is a beast! I am almost sure one of us is leaving the sector...

So it sounds like everything is super chill but crazy at home! oh but firstly.... Happy Fathers Day Pops! I hope you had a great day! I was thinking about you! Everybody seeming to vacation all over the place! Like I said, this week for me has been AWESOME but very frustrating for the fact of the results of the week. We had a lot of tests put in front of us this week that we needed to experience and learn a little bit about patience. We worked very hard this week but it just seemed to be that nobody wanted to open there doors to us or simply didnt answer their doors. And sometimes that happens right? BUT this week we are going to take out the trash and work harder than ever! And I know that we can find miracles and work hard because whom the Lord calls, the Lord qualifies.

Something pretty small but really cool that happened this week was a contact that we had. Soooo like 2 weeks ago we contacted a lady in front of her house, testified the trash out of everything and ended up giving her a pamphlet of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Wellllll like 2 days ago we went by to see how she was and she came running out of the house basically and asking US if we had time to share a message with her. Sadly, she was alone in the house at this time but we rescheduled a time to return to answer her questions. She told us that she read the pamphlet and answered the questions in the back but still has a couple questions in her head that she wants to ask us this next Wednesday. That was just a cool little testimony builder of the fact that I am nothing! The Lord knows all and prepares the people that we are guided to through the Spirit. I know that if we focus on following the Spirit, it will guide us to where we need to go.... choose the right way.... and know what to say at the right moment. I love this gospel!

I love you all sooooo much! When you see the missionaries... let them in your house hahahah and give em so juice or something hahaha. Continue seeking to feel the spirit in your life everyday. I exhort you.

stay safe

Peace out

REALLY FAST HAHAHA

So, this week was pretty awesomeeeee but first we gonna straight hit up the questions from the bawwwws.

-I am really good mom. Happy. :)
-The investigators are doing really well. Our miracle couple sadly... relapsed. BUT, we are going to keep helping them so that they can receive what Heavenly Father has promised them since the beginning.
-I didnt get your package this wednesday! I got a lotttt of letters which was AWESOME so thanks for that. :) But hopefully this next pouch!รง
-I would choose thin mints and the ones that have peanut butter in them. Those things are amazingggggg.

Sounds like at my house right now everything is really quiet. Everybody traveling... growing up and doing their things. Super cool! Little vacation for my parents I would say hahaha. :)

So a quick funny story and a quick spiritual one!

First. So the sector that i am in is actually kinda ghetttttto and so sometimes when we are walking in the road (hahahahaha all the time lets face it) people yell swear words in english at us or just funny things like that. Well, we were walking in the road and a couple gangsters were passing the ball in the street. Well, instead of letting them yell at us i ask them to pass me the ball really quick hahaha. I started juggling then pulled an around the world and back to juggling and a couple other things and everyone just started freaking and saying that a gringo can play soccer hahaha i laughed and we definitely earned points being gringos that day. :)

Something cool that happened this week was that one of our less active members is now active and thinking about serving a mission! He has been attending and been thinking alot about serving! So this next week he is going to talk to the bishop to see what can happen! So cooooool to see people progress.

This week I have been reading alot of the general conference talks and a couple of them have really hit me that I would invite everyone to read. I forget the names but one is by
Elder Holland ¨where mercy, justice, and love meet.¨something like that i believe.
And the Wait, Watch, and Love talk by a member of the seventy.

i exhort all to read, ponder, and pray about these teachings. I know that our Savior lives and that he paid for our sins. I know that when we accept him, he will help us in everything that we do. I know that the Holy Ghost is our guide to the eternal life. We NEED to follow its promptings. I love you all and pray for you every day! BE SAFE and never be slow to repent!

Hittin that Shot Clock Cheeeeese

WHATS UP DOODS. You know the drill. :)

- I have been pretty solid this week. Went by reallyyyy fast. Half way done with the transfer already. Wowzahs.
- Yes we saw many miracles this week. I will tell them in just a sec. haha
-I havent been taking very many pictures sadly enough.... but i will start taking a lot more i promise!
-I store my pictures in the SD cards that I have and I store them in a safe place. :) As a matter of fact... i might send a couple home to you guys so they are safe in the house and everything and you can look at them.
-It doesnt look like people open the packages but ya can never be sure but i dont think so.
-I think my Eccos will be perfect for the rain and all. Dont worry mom!:)
-I havent used my big coat yet. It is just the perfect temperature right now so I am enjoying it.
-I havent been taking daily vitamins cuz I ate them all but I think I am going to buy some more today!
-YES. MY PACKAGE SHOULD BE HERE THIS WEDNESDAY THEN. Yes, pouch is this wednesday then we get skipped a week.

SO. This week my companion and I have really been working really hard trying to be worthy enough to receive a miracle from God. And it DEFINITELY came. Wowzahs. This week we found Guillermo and Marlene. They are MARRIED (which never happens in Chile.... everyone just wants to freaking live together..... smh) and Marlene has a LOT of problems. When we found her, she was a little drunk but her husband Guillermo was chill. So we started talking to them and Marlene pretty much broke down and told us that she is addicted to alcohol, cigarretes, and drugs. She told us that she has been praying for help.... and BOOM. We arrived. #SoMuchSwag We have been visiting her for 5 days now and she hasnt drunk, smoked, or taken drugs. She came to church and LOVED it and she wants to be baptized the 28th of June. WOW. Hahahahah soooooo sick. And the coolest part? Is that we didnt do anything. God did everything and prepared Guillermo and Marlene for us. I know that when we are obedient, God blesses us. He knows us. He loves us. SO MUCH. I love you guys too. You guys are the bomb and I feel the prayers offered up for the missionaries of the world. Keep staying swaggy and having fun. Remember the Lord in all things that you do.

Goin Hard in the Paint

YOU GUYS. WHATS UP. I am so hypeddddd right now to write home and let you guys know what the heck is happening here in Chile.... but first the AWESOME questions from my mom. :)

-This week was sick mom. :)
-I got the banana bread and granola bars and I ate them all and they were freaking AMAZING. :)
-I havent gotten the postcards yet.... :(
-I saw Elder Brooks at the meeting of transfers.... but besides that no.
-I have no idea who dropped the photos of my mission off at the house... weird but cool!
-Nelson Spolmann is a freaking beast. He was my favorite teacher in the CCM. He is super hilarious! If you see him tell him hi for me.
-I heard about Elder Perry. Sad, but we know where he is and I am SURE that he is happy. :)

So yeah killas. This week was actually pretty tight. We found a couple new folks who are honestly superrrrr sick, but we really focused this week on the members that havent been to church in a very long time. So we straight went ham visiting people and really trying to figure out: Why they havent come to church in such a long time. We really tried to focus on them and their needs, and we ended up having a LOT of these members come back to church with us!:) One of them hadn´t come to church for 35 years..... wowzahs. :)

Sounds like from my family everybody is just straight growing up.... getting ready to get married.... destroying my old car..... killin it in dance. Weird but super cool.

But this email is gonna be pretty short. Christ lives and is our Savior. The Lord knows all and everything that he does. Callings in the church are inspired. We will come to accept that as we gradually become more and more humble. I testify that the priesthood authority is on the earth and gives us the opportunity to be sealed as a family for the eternities. I love you all and hope that you are all safe and living worthily to go to the temple.

Hittin that BapSquad Freeeee Throw

Awesomeeeeeeee. Whats up killas. Ya know the drill. Imma just straight drop right into the questions of the week from the one and only Mamma Brophy.

-My week has been pretty solid. Just getting to know my new sector and companion. Everything is chilllll.
-The weather is still sunny but it has definitely started to cool down which is AWESOME. I wear a sweater every night which is soooo much swag.
-I didnt get the granola bars or banana bread... I saw Hmo Ortega this sunday but I think he was suprised to see me at the church!
-My new house is with 2 other missionaries from a different ward. It is just on the other side of Melipilla. Pretty close to my old one!
-We have a ton of investigators in our new area. One of them just got baptized on Saturday.
-Things are going well with Elder Richards. He is a really funny kid! Its hard for him to speak in Spanish so I honestly do like 90% of the teaching but thats cool anyways!
-I AM in the same ward as before. They literally just changed me to the sector that was RIGHT next to my old one and a new pension and companion. Pretty funny!:)

So, at home it sounds like everyone is having a good time and the trip to Belgium and such was a success. I would have totally eaten a ton of waffles while I was there.... but maybe for another occasion. BUT, this week went by REALLY fast. It was weird going to another sector and not having it be white wash! So I kinda just followed Elder Richards around trying to figure out where the freak I was and stuff so I dont get lost. We were really busy this week and did alot which was awesome, but unfortunately I didnt write anything down for my big email! I promise I am gonna get better at that because I just sometimes forget the little, cool things that happen during the week!

BUT, I did want to just share something super sick with the straight slayers of the United States that I have been thinking about this week.
The word LOVE.
I have learned that love is the catalyst to everything that we do in the gospel. As a missionary, when I am walking through the streets, tired and hot, sometimes you think.... why am i doing this? I have come to know that we do all these things for love. Because 1. we love God. 2. We love our brothers and sisters who may be lost and looking for the shelter that the gospel provides us. May we be obedient to all that God commands us because we have love and understand love. I know that if we try to love a little bit more, To God and our neighbor, God will bless us with happiness.

BE SAFE SLAYERS. KEEP KILLIN IT AND SHARE THE GOSPEL:

Elder Brophy (The Boi..... aka Killa)

Weird Transfers........

Whats upppp everybodddy. I am just straighhhhhht chillin right now and I am gonna answer the Q´s from my mom real quick as usual. :)

-Your Elder is REALLY tired but REALLY good too. :)
-I got transferred... but in weird transfers. Hahaha so all that happened is that I got changed from one sector to a different one. I am still in the same ward, still in Melipilla, I just have a different sector and companion. His name is Elder Richards from Georgia USA.
-This last week we found some new awesome investigators in our sector... but now I am not going to be working with them very much sadly... but ya know!
-Last week I didnt win the soccer game which was pretty upsetting hahaha but its alright... next week for sure!
-We played with missionaries AND locals. It was pretty fun. :)
-It is only cold at night and in the morning... pretty lame because you have to wear or carry around a sweater during the day when it is hot then RAPIDLY drops in temperature.... awesome hahaha. :)

Yeahhhhh... so this last week was pretty weird and good. The last week of changes is always weird and VERY busy. Every single day there is something to do to finish up the change with your companion. So we didnt have a TON of time to go out and preach this week but when we did it was really fun. I just honestly LOVE talking to people in the street and going into houses to talk about the gospel. As a matter of fact, in this new sector that I just got to, there is an investigator that is getting married this Wednesday, then baptized Saturday so that will be awesome! But besides that... my companion told me that he doesnt know anything about his sector hahahaah.... so this will be interesting. Almost another white wash. :) Also, it was kinda sad to see a bunch of buddies leave to go home and leave the zone of Melipilla. Elder Cannon and McLaws and Elder Moffet left to go home and a BUNCH of other Elders left to go to another zone. But that happens and is always going to happen! But, for right now my focus is on the people here in Chile. Something that I have come to know about the mission is that whatever place that you go to, it is because the Lord wants you to be there. I know that I just got changed to this sector because it was convenient for the Lord to put me here. There IS somebody waiting for me to come teach and help save them. I know the Lord lives and he loves us. He is our Savior. And He is ALWAYS by our side. I promise that we are never alone. He is always searching for us and reaching out to us to come unto him. FIND him.

I love you all. You are all great examples to me. Please, pray for me and all the other missionaries in the world that they can help a soul come unto repentance.

With Love,

Elder Brophy

Holy Flemmish McSkyper

Wasssssup Peeps from the United States andddd thee family that is in Belgium..... You know it killas. I am going to straight start with the questions. :)

-I was pretty fine after we skyped to be honest! Everything was sick and such.
-I dont feel very homesick to be honest... feeling pretty solid as of now. :) How are you guys?
-After skype I talked with a couple other missionaries in the chapel because the sister´s couldnt skype alone in the chapel soooo yeah.
-Elder Parker is from Las Vegas.
-He is almost dead... he has 20 months in the mission but he watched me get ¨born¨ in Talagante.
-We are TRYING to do crossfit workouts type thingies.... its complicated. But we are going to run alot... :)
-I am good on garments right now and yes we can get garments here. :)
-The church is like 15ish minutes from the house walking.

YEAH. Okay....... so this week was AWESOME. I had the opportunity to talk to my family for Mother´s Day which was honestly AWESOME. My mom tells me that I wear my feelings on my sleeve..... so yeah thats cool hahahaha. :) I LOVE talking with my family and seeing them and everything, it was super fun and I am VERY grateful for such an amazing family. :)

I am, going to keep this email nice and short but I just wanted to share something cool that happened this week... well, two things.

1. Talagante and Melipilla turned into a stake this Sunday! It was an awesome event, I got to see all the people all happy because they can see the growing of the church. There were 2 Seventies present and everyone was just sooo happy! SO SICK.

2. We got to go to the temple again as a district because President wants all the missionaries to be able to go to the temple... so we did!:) I just LOVE going to the temple and feeling the spirit. Going to the temple should be a goal for everyone. :) Its awesome!:)

Welll, I freaking love you guys so much. Be safe and home and be firm in the gospel of Jesus
Christ. He knows us and loves us so much.
